Downloading Citrix Client Software to Access NASIS

USDA employees on a CCE system use instructions in section one. Non-USDA employees use instructions in section two.

Section 1 – Instructions for USDA employees to access NASIS from a Common Computing Environment (CCE) System

The “Citrix for NASIS” package is CCE certified and is available from the CCE site: http://servicecenter.kcc.usda.gov.

This web page is accessible to ITS support personnel with a login and password. Please contact your ITS support person for assistance in downloading and installing “Citrix for NASIS”. The package is under XP Software.

When it asks you make some choices, take the defaults for everything EXCEPT when you get this screen:

Use the drop down arrow, and select “Entire feature will be unavailable” for both “Program Neighborhood Agent” and “Program Neighborhood” as shown above.

Click on Logging in to NASIS to continue with instruction on accessing NASIS.

Section 2 – Instructions for Non-USDA employees to download Citrix client software for accessing NASIS

The Citrix client software is available from the Citrix web site.

The web page shows “Citrix Presentation Server Client Packager - Version 10.1”.

  • Under “Recommended Versions” to the right of the “Client Package Version 10.1”, click on “Download Here” link.
  • Click the “Save” button, and save the file “ica32pkg.msi” to a folder on your hard drive.
  • On your pc, open Windows Explorer. To install the package, double-click on the ice32pkg.msi file.

  • Click the “Yes” button to install.

  • Click the button beside “I accept the license agreement”, then click on the “Next” button, to accept the license agreement.
  • Click the “Next” button to accept the default installation options until you get to the next screen.

  • Use the drop down arrow, and select “Entire feature will be unavailable” for both “Program Neighborhood Agent” and “Program Neighborhood” as shown above.
  • Click the “Next” button to accept the rest of the default installation options until you finish the installation.

  • Click “Finish” button.
  • Close your web browser.

Click on Logging in to NASIS to continue with instruction on accessing NASIS.
